Clay Bars
The "clay bar" is a tool used to remove contaminants and impurities from the paint surface of a vehicle. It is a soft, malleable clay-like material designed to be rubbed onto the surface of car paint.
To use a clay bar , you usually spray a lubricant or detailing spray on a small section of the paint. Then, you rub the clay bar back and forth over the lubricated area. The clay bar will capture contaminants, leaving the surface smoother. It is important to knead and reshape the clay bar frequently to expose a clean surface as it gets dirty.
