Compounds
The term "compound" refers to a type of abrasive product (such as abrasive compounds) used to remove blemishes, scratches, marks, RIDS and oxidation from a vehicle's paint surface. Compound products contain more aggressive abrasive particles than those present in polishes and often have chemical components inside that make them bite. They are therefore used to work large surfaces or to remove deep scratches by applying them with manual pads or a rotary or orbital polisher.
The compounds in The Care line, both in the universal version Rubbing Compound white and in the specific version for dark or black surfaces Rubbing Compound black , are formulated to effectively remove imperfections and deep scratches without damaging the surfaces.
