How to clean the microfiber cloth?

Cleaning and maintenance of the microfiber cloth is essential for correct application of the products and to guarantee professional results that only true detailers intend to achieve.

Here's how to clean the cloth:

  • Wash the microfibre cloth : to clean the microfibre cloth correctly, we recommend washing the cloths manually in cold water (max 30°C) in order not to damage the cloth or cause it to shrink. The cloths are made partly of polyester, which may shrink or stiffen at high temperatures. For the cleaning and degreasing action of the cloths, we recommend only using neutral soaps (for example Marseille soap), dosing it based on the condition of the cloth.
  • Dry the microfibre cloth : ideal drying should take place indoors or in any case away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Once dry, to give tone to the microfibre again, we recommend flapping the cloth in the air a few times, until we notice the microfibre swelling.

All The Care cloths are received in resealable plastic packaging which allows them to be stored and distinguished without opening the packaging using the appropriate identification label, preventing it from getting dirty or gathering dust in the periods between one treatment and another.

The fundamental thing during washing is to avoid using fabric softeners, as they would ruin the cloth and invalidate its properties. The risks if used are the following:

  • Reduced effectiveness : fabric softeners leave a residue on the surface which invalidates their ability to capture dirt and dust
  • Reduction of absorption : some cloths are designed not to absorb products but to spread them, the use of softeners makes the cloths partially hydrophobic, preventing the products from being absorbed even in cloths in which it is essential for this to happen
  • Cloth Deterioration : A cloth is considered clean when there are no chemicals present on the cloth. Fabric softeners often leave chemical residues that cause the cloth to deteriorate

Another thing to avoid is drying in the sun, we recommend drying indoors or in the shade to prevent the cloth from stiffening and UV rays from decreasing the elasticity and resistance of the fabrics.
